What challenge, problem or motivation inspired you to make one small change?
I wanted to make sure that my students were reading – and learning from – the feedback given to their exercise program case studies.
Tell us about your one small change:
Not a small change. 1) I moved the due date for this earlier in the term, 2) I gave them the feedback but withheld the numeric mark, 3) allowed them time to ‘fix’ things, and 4) remarked papers and updated and released numeric marks.
What was the result of your one small change?
Average 15% improvement overall: largest swing was a 50% improvement (International student). Otherwise, some students told me they were thankful for the feedback – and thankful for the opportunity to improve.
