Allow Photographing for Note Taking
This accommodation is provided when a student requires a photographed copy of lecture notes and/or any other material presented in class to support their learning needs due to their functional limitations.
The student may wish to photograph the board after the instructor/faculty finishes writing on it.
Faculty Responsibility
- When you receive an accommodation letter, reach out to the student via email to invite a discussion about how you can support their learning.
- Allow the student to photograph lecture notes (whiteboard/blackboard/smart board, etc.)
Student Responsibility
- It is the student’s responsibility to take photographs of the material.
- The student is only allowed to photograph information presented on the board and not other students or instructors/faculty.
