Session 2: Assessment Policy and Large-Scale Testing
In a rapidly evolving landscape, where assessment plays an increasingly central role in education and evaluation, it’s crucial to ensure that practices are equitable for all individuals, inclusive of their backgrounds or identities. Derek Chen, Chief Equity and Assessment Officer, will guide us through an exploration of what EQAO is doing to address issues of equity in assessment and in the agency.

The Summit on Equity, Assessment, and Evaluation: Bringing Theory and Practice Together is designed to join academic and industry partners across Canada to focus on assessment and evaluation practices that promote a welcoming, fair, and equitable practices all students, regardless of their background or identity.
The event has four themes:
