New to Teaching at Cambrian College?

These apply to all faculty, new or returning:

Review the Course Outline | Click the Course Outline icon next to your course code in myCambrian. |
Prepare Your Syllabus | Review the Syllabus webpage for guidance. Use the Course Syllabus Sample (Template). |
Access Your Timetable | Sign into myCambrian and locate your CRN Schedule. Review the details to learn more about when your courses run, as well as their delivery methods. |
Set Up Your Moodle Shell | Review the Moodle webpage for more information and instructional videos. Access Moodle to create course contents from scratch or to copy from a previous semester. Email teaching@cambriancollege.ca to request contents to be copied from a Course Template shell (or from a previous delivery, with permission). |
Adjust Moodle Settings | Edit assignment and activity due dates and quiz settings as needed. |
Set Up Zoom Links | Create Zoom Meetings for your classes and post the links in Moodle. (This is required for any courses that are delivered virtually, Flex, or HyFlex.) |
Complete and Lock eGrades Template | Watch the instructional videos on our eGrades webpage. |
Review Accommodation Letters | Review the Clockwork webpage for more information. Check Clockwork to read any accommodation letters for students in your course. |
Obtain a Textbook | Required textbooks are found in the Resources section of the course outline. Ask your department Chair for a copy, if required. |
Obtain Additional Resources | Ask your department Chair or program coordinator for keys, supplies, or any additional resources that are required for your course. |
