What challenge, problem or motivation inspired you to make one small change?

I was speaking to the team (Jessica, Sarah, and Mel) at the Hub and they were discussing developing evidence-based pedagogically-sound rubrics.

Tell us about your one small change:

I followed up with Mel Young and she shared a number of rubrics and strategies. In the Field Seminar course, I introduced the new pedagogically-sound rubric to accompany the student’s midterm assignment.

What was the result of your one small change?

I requested that the students provide feedback on the rubrics. A number of students commented that the rubrics helped them to understand the expectations of the assignment and the grading criteria for the assignment.
