How are you staying afloat this year?

This semester I am focusing on leveraging ‘fun’ in the classroom to support student learning and mental health.

In my ENG1126 course, students learn about professional email writing. It is often a dry subject, so I created a Padlet where students could practice their professional email skills but from the perspective of a fictional character.

Feedback from students was that they were thankful for something fun and engaging that allowed them to practice their writing skills.
