Alternate to Presentation
This accommodation is provided when a student requires alternatives to graded in-class presentations due to their functional limitations.
Faculty Responsibility
- When you receive an accommodation letter, reach out to the student via email to invite a discussion about how you can support their learning.
- To support this accommodation, consider the following alternatives and discuss with the student a suitable alternative that meets their needs and the course/program learning outcomes:
- Video recorded presentation
- 1-on-1 presentation with the instructor/professor
- Option to have video/camera off during virtual class presentation
Student Responsibility
- It is the student’s responsibility to request an alternative for consideration when an in-class graded presentation has been assigned to the class.
