Session 4: Language Testing and Program Evaluation

Language assessment and large-scale testing are pervasive across Canada. While issues of equity have been highlighted, many areas for research and improvement remain. In this session, Dr. Mirza will address issues of diversity and inclusivity in language assessment and large-scale testing.

The Summit on Equity, Assessment, and Evaluation: Bringing Theory and Practice Together is designed to join academic and industry partners across Canada to focus on assessment and evaluation practices that promote a welcoming, fair, and equitable practices all students, regardless of their background or identity.

The event has four themes:

2. Language and large-scale testing
3. Technology and higher education
4. Assessment policy and program evaluation
