Niagara College Accessibility Hub
Last year, Niagara College introduced a new digital Accessibility Hub with the aim of supporting community organizations in promoting equity, human rights, and the removal of barriers for individuals with disabilities.
This open-source resource was made possible through a grant from the Virtual Learning Strategy, an eCampusOntario-led initiative funded by the Ministry of Colleges and Universities. It offers a wide range of articles, checklists, videos, and resources to help create accessible web content, learning materials, and experiences.
The Accessibility Hub is designed for both educators and non-educators, with its materials openly licensed for worldwide adoption and adaptation. This project is part of Niagara College’s efforts to promote inclusivity and foster a supportive student experience. Developed by a team of experts, the Hub actively encourages user feedback for ongoing improvement and will be introduced to educators across Ontario at eCampusOntario’s VLS Collection Open House.
