What is H5P?
H5P is a free, open source and mobile-friendly tool that allows you to quickly and easily create and share interactive quizzes, videos, simulations, games and more. It is currently available to all faculty at Cambrian College via Moodle and can be added to your course at any time.
H5P uses HTML5 content in existing publishing platforms such as Moodle. Content can be reused and modified at any time to help improve online learning experiences.
Demos, downloads, tutorials, and documentation are available for users who join the H5P community. [More Information]

Why use H5P?
H5P creates interactive and engaging online content that can be shared via Moodle as well as on other websites and by weblink. With only having to use a browser, faculty can make interactive videos and create presentations with keywords, images, video clips and audio to engage students.
Content can be made into a game for a lesson or homework that students can complete with levels and different tasks that are associated with the subject or learning outcome that is being taught.
Faculty can also create flashcards and question sets with H5P that can be useful for students to study and self-test themselves. [More Information]
How to use H5P
Add to Your Moodle Course
- H5P is a free, readily-available Moodle integration.
- Add an H5P interactive by finding it in the list when you click on “Add an Activity or Resource” in your course.
- H5P is also available via the web. Create a free H5P account to get started.
