Trauma-Informed Teaching Community of Practice (CARE-O CoP)
Create Inclusive, Empathetic Learning Spaces for Students and Colleagues
Join the CARE-O Community of Practice and learn how to support students, colleagues, and yourself through trauma-informed teaching strategies. Led by Cynthia Booth, this community empowers faculty and staff to recognize the impacts of trauma and promote holistic well-being and academic success—without needing to be a trauma expert.
- Understand the key principles of trauma-informed pedagogy and pedagogies of care
- Implement supportive strategies for both your students and your own mental health
- Create inclusive, safe, and empathetic environments for everyone
- Share and reflect on best practices with fellow members to improve teaching and college culture
Why attend?
This group fosters a collaborative space for educators and staff to learn, reflect, and develop strategies to better support the well-being of our campus community. Together, we can create safer, more inclusive spaces where students and colleagues thrive.
