Brave Spaces

Join Cynthia Booth and Christopher Schubert for an experiential workshop about creating safer spaces in our classrooms.  This 90-minute session is a completely hands-on workshop where we will explore through a learning circle what a brave space is, how we create these spaces, and engage in perspective-taking. All with the goal of finding creative ways to help our students feel brave. This is an interactive session; come with an open mind ready to discuss!

Learning Outcomes

Participants will:

• define brave spaces
• reflect on current safer spaces practices
• participate in a learning circle
• collaborate with colleagues on ways to engage students to be brave and create safer spaces.
