Artificial Intelligence Corner
The Academic Integrity and Artificial Intelligence (AIAI) Working Group was established to unite faculty and administrators in addressing the challenges and concerns related to the use of Generative AI in academic settings at the College. This initiative aims to develop strategic recommendations to mitigate these concerns. Comprising nine faculty members from three different Schools and three administrators—Bradie, Marnie, and Mel—the group is co-chaired by Chris Schubert, Senior Educational Technology Specialist with the Hub, and Aaron Langille, coordinator of the Game Design program.
The AIAI Working Group had their inaugural meeting on February 1st, identifying key areas for exploration. Their initial step involves conducting an environmental scan to assess practices at other institutions throughout the province, review existing research, and pinpoint internal issues. With a focus on these identified concerns, the group will collaboratively formulate recommendations. These recommendations will be presented to the Vice President, Academic, by the end of April.
