DESCRIPTION:Join Cynthia Booth and Christopher Schubert for an experiential workshop about creating safer spaces in our classrooms.  This 90-minute session is a completely hands-on workshop where we will explore through a learning circle what a brave space is\, how we create these spaces\, and engage in perspective-taking. All with the goal of finding creative ways to help our students feel brave. SUMMARY:Reducing Implicit Biases in the Classroom
DESCRIPTION:Join Kristeen McKee (Professor\, School of Business) and Christopher Schubert (Senior Educational Technology Specialist/PT Professor) for an interactive workshop about understanding\, recognizing\, and refuting implicit biases in the classroom.\n \nTogether we will discuss the significance of understanding implicit biases and identify the research-backed strategies demonstrated to prevent them.
