What’s in a Grade?
By implementing “gradeless” or feedback-supported grading, I think I have made the educational process more enjoyable for the students and gives them a chance to improve based on feedback.
While there still are grades, students are able to request a grade based on their assessment, and have an opportunity to integrate feedback into assignments. This makes the process of feedback much more relevant as it actually goes somewhere, instead of the student flipping to the last page to see the grade and ignoring the comments.
I think this grading approach is reflective of real life work, and gives students an opportunity to learn and improve instead of just being tested.
