You will have the opportunity to learn more about the history of Indigenous education at the postsecondary level in Sudbury and hear first-hand from Indigenous students about the opportunities and challenges they have experienced during their academic journeys. Lunch and snacks provided. Parking is free.
Afternoon Break-out Sessions:
- Transitions to postsecondary education
- How to further support Indigenous students during their academic journey
- Creating pathways for Indigenous students
- Integrating Indigenous content into curriculum
- Cultural humility training
Seats are limited.
Fifty (50) participants from each institution will be permitted to attend. Registration is on a first come – first serve basis. This conference is intended for faculty and staff who are interested in learning more about how to support Indigenous student success. This is a great opportunity to connect with colleagues from Laurentian and Boréal and learn more about Indigenous education.
Prior to registering please ensure you have the permission of your supervisor.
