DESCRIPTION:Are you passionate about mathematics education?\nDo you believe in the power of collaboration and continuous learning? \nJoin our new and improved Math CoP! \n\n\nWe’re moving asynchronous with periodic in person session! \nParticipate at your own pace\, on your own schedule.\nOur CoP will use a dedicated Microsoft Teams Channel to share resources and engage in discussions around monthly themes\, while we’ll also be hosting in-person sessions periodically for those who enjoy face-to-face interaction\, with additional opportunities to connect online. \nIn the Math CoP\, you can expect:\n\nA focus on improving math competency for ourselves and our students.\nA collaborative network across departments.\nA space to share experiences\, challenges\, and strategies.\nA supportive community of peers.\n\nWhile we would love to see you in person in the Hub\n(Room 1271-B)\, we also welcome you to join us on Zoom on the 24th!\n\nJoin us on Zoom: cambriancollege.zoom.us/j/97087294834

DESCRIPTION:Trauma-Informed Teaching Community of Practice (CARE-O CoP)\nCreate Inclusive\, Empathetic Learning Spaces for Students and Colleagues\nJoin the CARE-O Community of Practice and learn how to support students\, colleagues\, and yourself through trauma-informed teaching strategies. Led by Cynthia Booth\, this community empowers faculty and staff to recognize the impacts of trauma and promote holistic well-being and academic success—without needing to be a trauma expert. \n\nUnderstand the key principles of trauma-informed pedagogy and pedagogies of care\nImplement supportive strategies for both your students and your own mental health\nCreate inclusive\, safe\, and empathetic environments for everyone\nShare and reflect on best practices with fellow members to improve teaching and college culture\n\nWhy attend?\nThis group fosters a collaborative space for educators and staff to learn\, reflect\, and develop strategies to better support the well-being of our campus community.
