Introducing the Teaching Excellence Advisory Committee

The Cambrian College Teaching Excellence Advisory Committee (formerly referred to as the Hub Advisory Committee) is officially formed and under way.

The Committee consists of the following full-time and part-time Cambrian College faculty members:

  • Charlene Biggs;
  • Jennifer Christakos;
  • Meghan Corcoran;
  • Kevin Crull;
  • Jessica Grillanda;
  • Lynn Kabaroff;
  • Serge Levesque;
  • Robert Montgomery;
  • Katherine Timmermans; and
  • Amy Cliff (full-time faculty member Hub Representative).

Jenni Hayman, Chair of Teaching and Learning is chairing the committee. The draft purpose (below) and terms of reference are currently under review by Committee members.

The role of the Teaching Excellence Advisory Committee is to advise the Cambrian College Chair, Teaching and Learning and the faculty and staff at the Teaching and Learning Innovation Hub. Advice will inform the topics, design, and scheduling of pedagogic and technologic professional development that contribute to college-wide excellence for teaching. The Committee will also advise on opportunities to engage in research and professional development related to the scholarship of teaching and learning at institutional, regional, national, and international levels.

If you are interested in learning more about the activities and topics of the Committee and contributing ideas and concerns, please connect with your School’s representative(s) , Amy Cliff, or Jenni Hayman.

Thank you to everyone involved in getting this critical piece of our common institutional goal of teaching excellence up and running.

Jenni Hayman, EdD Chair, Teaching and Learning
